Hand Therapy
Hand Therapy is a type of rehabilitation performed by an occupational or physical therapist on patients with conditions affecting the hands and upper extremities. Such therapy is performed by a provider with a high degree of specialization that requires continuing education and, often, advanced certification. This enables the hand therapist to work with patients to hasten their return to a productive lifestyle.
Our experienced therapists will:
- Evaluate the patient’s physical issues
- Listen to the patient’s concerns
- Collaboratively treat the patient
- Teach the patient to care for their injury/disease
Physical Therapy
The goal of physical therapy can be to see if you can recover from your symptoms WITHOUT SURGERY, or if surgery is unavoidable, help you return to activity AFTER SURGERY.
Your physical therapist is your key asset
If you have a knee, hip, back, foot, shoulder or hand problem, Orthopedic Institute has a therapist experienced in that specialty. The physical therapists work closely with the OI physicians to develop rehab protocols that maintain the high standards of treatment that OI is known for in the region.
