Athletic Trainer

Due to our expanding Sports Medicine programs with our regional high schools and semi-pro teams, Orthopedic Institute is currently hiring for Athletic Trainers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES and ABILITIES

  • Provides supervision and treatment of athletes and clinical patients to prevent injury and/or initiate rehabilitation
  • Evaluates referred patients and design/implement plan of care based on patient functioning, diagnosis, treatment, self-management and access to health care resources
  • Skill in effectively evaluating, treating and revising plan of care based on changes in patient status and individual’s response to treatment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, coaches, athletic directors, co-workers, and the community

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Athletic training required 

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is completed both inside (clinic treatment rooms/gyms) and outside (field) environmental conditions including extreme cold, moisture, heat, and noise.

Clinic Nurse–RN, LPN or MA, Sioux Falls, SD

Job Summary

The position responsibilities are: assisting physician and/or mid-level in clinic environment. Duties include: rooming patients, medical histories, injections and patient phone calls and assisting with procedures.

Clinic hours to be covered are M-F, 7:00 am-5:30 pm. Must be flexible as Full-Time hours will be a combination of 5 hour and 10 hour shifts. Will also work 1-2 Saturday shifts per year.

Required licensure and education for the position. Basic computer skills. Must possess exceptional customer service and ability to communicate with patients, clinic staff, and physicians. Successful candidates will have excellent multi-tasking skills to keep the flow of the busiest Orthopedic Clinic in Sioux Falls running smoothly.
