Benjamin Gannon, MEd, ATC
Ben joins OI after serving the University of Sioux Falls as their Head Football/Cheer Athletic Trainer for the past two seasons. Before that, he served as the Head Athletic Trainer for Sioux Falls Canaries Baseball, where he worked with professional and Olympic baseball players. In Ben’s new role, he will represent OI as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Sioux Falls Storm professional indoor football team.
A native of Richmond, CA, graduating from Richmond High School in 2014, Ben earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Dakota Wesleyan University (DWU) in Mitchell, SD, in 2018. In 2020 he attained a MA in Educational Policy and Administration from DWU. While at DWU, Ben played on the offensive line for the football team.
Ben is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), licensed in South Dakota (LAT), and a member of the National Athletic Training Association. He currently serves with the South Dakota National Guard.
Ben lives in Tea, SD, with his two dogs.
