A Message from Our Pain Management Team: James T. Brunz, MD and K.C. Chang, MD

At Orthopedic Institute, we know that pain can affect every part of life. It can make it hard to sleep, work, move, and enjoy time with family. As pain management physicians, our mission is to help people find relief and return to doing what they enjoy, often without surgery.

We come from different backgrounds, but we share the same passion for helping patients. Whether it is back pain, nerve pain, joint pain, or another condition, we focus on treating the root cause. We use a variety of non-surgical treatments like image-guided injections, nerve blocks, and spinal procedures. Every care plan is built around what is best for you.

At Orthopedic Institute, we are proud to work alongside other specialists as part of a team approach. Many of our patients see us before ever needing surgery. For others, we are part of their ongoing care. Either way, we are committed to helping people move better and feel better.

Summer is a time for making memories, family trips, backyard barbecues, long walks in the sunshine, or simply chasing your grandkids through the sprinkler. But when you are living with pain, those moments can feel a little further out of reach. As pain relief physicians, we understand that pain does not take the summer off. It is there year-round, but it can feel especially frustrating when it keeps you from the things you love most. That is why we are here – to listen, to help, and to work with you toward feeling better, so you can get back to enjoying all the fun this season has to offer.
