Meet our Physician Assistants
Meet Orthopedic Institute's trained, licensed physician assistants. They perform tasks that might otherwise be performed by physicians or under the direction of a supervising physician. All Physician Assistants at Orthopedic Institute have certification by NCCPA.

Lee Arnold, PA-C
Lee joined Orthopedic Institute in 1997. He earned a degree in electronic technology from Northwestern Electronics Institute in Minneapolis and in applied sciences from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, before completing the PA degree program at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines. |

Michael Harris, OT, CST
Michael joined Orthopedic Institute in 1993. He served as a Hospital Corpsman/Orthopedic Technician in the U.S. Navy and is a graduate of Southeast Technical Institute’s Certified Surgical Technician program. |

Mark Heine, MS, PA-C
Mark joined Orthopedic Institute in 2003. He earned degrees in microbiology/biology from South Dakota State University before completing his PA degree from the University of South Dakota and masters in PA studies from the University of Nebraska. |

Patrick Heiser, PA-C
Patrick joined Orthopedic Institute in 2007. He earned a nursing degree from the University of South Dakota and a BS degree in Physicians Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. |

Chad joined Orthopedic Institute in 2006. He earned a degree in biology from St. John's University and a master of science PA degree from the University of Iowa. |

David joined Orthopedic Institute in 2008. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sports Medicine/Athlete Training from Dakota Wesleyan University. He earned his Masters of Science in Health at Middle Tennessee State University and he earned his Masters of Science in Medicine - Physician Assistant degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. |

Scott joined Orthopedic Institute in 2000. He received degrees in sports medicine/athletic training from the University of Charleston and in health/physical education from Marshall University, both in West Virginia, before completing his PA degree at the University of South Dakota. |
